Curriculum
We enhance traditional lessons with current knowledge.
We use a wide variety of shapes, colours, puzzles, building blocks and Lego to better develop your child’s concentration.
We opt to read stories that are chosen by students because that helps children to genuinely invest in the storytelling process.
We use a blended approach to support children in their path of learning.
While we work with individual children and small groups of children, we also bring the whole group of children together once a day for stories, singing or games.
This fosters a team spirit among our little ones and most of all is full of fun.
Our Play Group and Upper Group loves blending with each other, in both, work as well as play.
Faculty
A vibrant faculty, formally trained, is the backbone of Pagoda Montessori School’s education.
We maintain a teacher-to-child ratio, above what is required, to give your child more attention and better supervision.
Of our staff, almost half have worked at Pagoda Montessori School for longer than 25 years. The longevity of our staff is both a testament to the work environment at our school and a key element of our quality program.
Parents
As pre-school is your child’s first learning environment outside home, we strive to make our pre-school a home away from home for your entire family.
We welcome parent-staff communication and parents are encouraged to become active participants in their child’s first school experience. We aim to build a strong bond between our school and your home that our students and their families will carry with them, wherever they go.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is an important part of life at our school. Our cozy and leafy play garden is just one way outdoor play is nurtured.
Loved by our students, our Caterpillar and Monkey bars are full of fun and aids in building a child’s confidence.
Carried out under adult supervision, our play garden provides an opportunity for children to put their skills and abilities to work in a fun and safe environment.
At Work in the Garden
Our permaculture garden is home to an ever-changing variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables. It is where all leaves from our school garden ends up.
Plants are raised from seeds and fertilised by leaves from our school garden that are placed in a compost bin and composted daily.
Keeping it clean and tidy is an important task of all our little ones.
